The Legal fine print (because I don't look good in orange...)
Even though we are not keeping nor using any of this money for campaign expenses, we must still abide by all FEC regulations for reporting.
Federal law requires us to use our best efforts to collect and report the name, address, occupation, and employer of individuals whose contribution exceeds $200 in an election cycle.
By clicking “Donate”, you certify that the following statements are true and accurate:
- You are at least 18 years old.
- You are a U.S. Citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident.
- This contribution is made from your personal funds under your name, not from an account maintained by a corporation, labor union, or national bank, and is not being reimbursed by another person or entity.
- You are not a federal government contractor.
The maximum amount an individual may contribute is $2,700 per election. Your contribution (up to $2,700) will be designated for the primary election. The next $2,700 will be designated for the general election. Note: in accordance with FEC regulations and as an Independent candidate not on the primary ballot, Benjamin has set his 'primary date' as June 26.
Contributions to Benjamin for Congress are not tax deductible for federal income tax purposes. Contributions from corporations, labor unions, federal contractors, and foreign nationals are prohibited.
